Thembi Harris (née Shears) is in demand as a teacher and presenter, specialising in teaching young children and individualities of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Dyslexia. She has regularly presented at the Australasian Piano Pedagogy conference, various state Music Teacher Association conferences and is a contributing writer for The Piano Teacher magazine Australia. In her role as Education Advisor for Hal Leonard Australia, Thembi is a brand ambassador for Faber Piano Adventures. Thembi runs a busy piano studio in Brisbane, where she teaches 60+ students from early childhood beginners through to adults. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Primary Education, with a major in Inclusive Education, and has worked with many students with specialised learning needs in both the school classroom and music studio setting.
