Joan Skilbeck

Joan Skilbeck graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in performance and music therapy, and a Diploma of Education. She has had extensive involvement in Australia’s music education sector, including management roles with Musica Viva and the Victorian College of the Arts, consultancy roles with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority, and as Head of Classroom Music at one of the country’s most prestigious music schools. After completing a business degree she spent a number of years as an executive marketing manager in the professional and financial services sectors. She now runs a successful marketing and communications consultancy, supporting corporate and government clients to build their businesses and communicate with customers and stakeholders.
