About

TPTsdsThe Piano Teacher was founded in 2011 to meet the increased demand for online resources for piano teachers in Australia and across the world. Powered by Hal Leonard Australia, TPT has grown from its modest beginnings (having less than 500 subscribers to now having over 3000) to becoming an invaluable resource for all piano teachers. The massive success of this resource was due to its founding editor, Gina Wake. Gina has consistently pulled together a range of voices and a spectrum of resources to help support Australian piano teachers in their delivery of excellence to the piano students of the world.

The Piano Teacher produces two magazines per year (free for subscribers), both in May and November – Sign up today and include your address so you get one in the mail (for Australian teachers only, sorry!)

A very special thank you to all the contributors, teachers, students and authors that have made The Piano Teacher what it is today. We have really enjoyed connecting with everyone, either at conferences, workshops, or on social media and are really excited about the years ahead!
